Question:
When I try to install Interbase5 I get an error:
Error near IBCheck.
Answer:
This is due to a problem in the registry, so far this has only happened on Winnt4.
It seems as though the PATH envronment variable can be set to be binary by errant
applications, this also happens when the PATH variable is set to nothing as
exhibited by the system properties applet.
To fix this, go to :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment\Path
Edit the 'Path' value so that is is a String value rather than a binary/hex value.
It is recommended that you have your CBuilder path here. ("\bin")
