 Question and Answer Database
FAQ4380C.txt :Taskbar button stays behind after application is closed
Category :VCL
Platform :All-32Bit
Product :All-CBuilder,
Question:
Sometimes my taskbar button in Win 95 and Win 98 stays
behind after I have closed down my application. I know
that I am destroying everything, but this persists.
What can I do to make the taskbar button go away?
Answer:
This problem only seems to happen in captionless maximized
forms. It has also been known to occur under ANY app
that uses OpenGL acceleration (like Quake). In the case
of captionless maximized forms, try changing the form size
(like minimizing it since that is not too visually
distracting for the user) and then destroying
everything. This should clean up the behavior, and
allow the taskbar button to be removed.
