Article #30008: How do I insert today's date into my Rave Report?

Problem:

I want to insert today's date into my Rave Report but can't figure out how to do it. How can I do this?

Answer:

In the Rave Visual Designer, drop a DataText component onto your page and then click the ellipsis next to your DataText component's DataField property. This will bring up the Data Text Editor. The Report variable combobox contains a long list of items such as the current date that you can use in your report by selecting the item and clicking the Insert Report Var button.
