Answer: That portion of the quick reference is out of date because it is talking about "building MFC" ( earlier releases you had to build your own MFC ). 5.01 comes with MFC. The equivalent file with 5.01 stays on the CD ( does not install in a typical setup ) and is called README.BC5 ( found in:\bc5\source\mfc\ ) This file is just steps to build MFC.
