Is there a single thing that could be causing this? Answer: Yes. There is a file called Winhelp.ini in your Windows dir. It is an index of the help files and thier locations on your computer. If any of the indexes are incorrect the help system may exhibit some odd behavior, such as empty index pages, or mysterious message boxes. There are 2 ways to go about remedying this situation: 1) Meticulously go through the winhelp.ini file insuring that all of the path names to the varoius help files are valid. B) Delete/Rename the winhelp.ini file. Obviously (B) is easier and I honestly have not seen any sort of performance hit for doing this. 7/2/98 10:32:32 AM
